ACTIVITY A02.Ac2.—Reinforcement of the coastal path in La Mofosa, Luanco
The coastal trail serves as the backbone of sustainable mobility and a premier tourist attraction in the Cabo Peñas region. To ensure it maintains the landscape and environmental quality it deserves, it is necessary to restore the sections of the trail that have deteriorated over time.
On the outskirts of Luanco, there is a branch of the coastal trail that runs parallel to the seashore; it offers significant scenic value but currently does not meet the minimum safety requirements for public use.
Wear and tear on the facility and a lack of maintenance have caused the pedestrian walkway to become cantilevered, posing a high risk of collapse into the sea and destabilizing the bleachers on the east side of the equestrian sports facility.
The purpose of the project is to construct a retaining structure for the site that will secure both facilities and establish the necessary requirements for their proper and safe use.
